I can't draw, I can't paint, I can't sew, I can't craft, I can't even pick out paint colors for my home without being in agony for weeks...really!
What I can do though is cook. Cooking is something that I have enjoyed as long as I can remember. I like making folks happy, I like eating, I like throwing things together, playing with recipes or trying to figure out how to make something I once tasted.
Cooking centers me. If you knew Me and could see how I am one of those "hyper people", talking a mile a minute, running around on all systems go, you would see how much cooking gets me focused. In a way cooking is my identifier.
Those around me know I like to cook, maybe the giveaway is the fact I usually show up most everywhere with a dish or two (boy have I left behind many, many plates, platters, bowls, skewers, etc!), I want to help them plan a menu for a party and talk about food...a lot!
Life gets busy, we all know that, so in an effort to hold myself accountable to cooking more as well as have some fun with my kids in the kitchen, I decided to start this blog. I asked my 5 year old daughter Samantha - who cooks everything from eggs to grouper with confidence - what we should call this site and she instantly said "Souffle Bombay"!! I was like what? What are you saying? I had to have her repeat it like 5 times. But you know what...after 2 pages full of names I had thought up...I LOVED it! Samantha tells me a Souffle Bombay is oatmeal inside a hallowed out pumpkin...who knew!!
I really liked the name, she was proud and that's that...so here we go!
So peek in when you can and enjoy the recipes to come!

When you originally told me what the title was I thought it was cute, but now I love it even more!

Okay, I have now looked through every single recipe on your blog (and yes, I am now drooling, thank you). Thanks for inviting me on Tasty Kitchen to check it out. I want to make almost every recipe on here right now! I just sat down to make my menu and grocery list for the week and plan to try at least one or two of your recipes. Thanks so much!
