- 1 pound fresh snow peas
- ½ TBS avocado or olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (a nice big one or 2 cloves)
- red pepper flakes
- S&P
- spritz of fresh lemon
Rinse and trim you snow peas. Use a paring knife and cut off the rough end(s), (just the tiniest bit off the tip). Then pull the string alongside, if it's poking out.
In a large sauté pan, add your oil garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Once it begins to sizzle add in your snow peas and stir well.
Season with black pepper and salt and stir. You can choose to top with a lid and shake the pan around for a few minutes for the fastest cook.
Cook your snow peas for a few minutes until crisp tender (moving around often so as not to burn the garlic) or until done the way you enjoy.
Spritz with fresh lemon, plate and enjoy!
Add in a little fresh ginger or ginger paste for additional flavor.
For a more Asian forward flavor, use sesame oil and top with white or black sesame seeds.
