Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh snow peas
  • ½ TBS avocado or olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (a nice big one or 2 cloves)
  • red pepper flakes
  • S&P
  • spritz of fresh lemon

Instructions

  • Rinse and trim you snow peas. Use a paring knife and cut off the rough end(s), (just the tiniest bit off the tip). Then pull the string alongside, if it's poking out.
  • In a large sauté pan, add your oil garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Once it begins to sizzle add in your snow peas and stir well.
  • Season with black pepper and salt and stir. You can choose to top with a lid and shake the pan around for a few minutes for the fastest cook.
  • Cook your snow peas for a few minutes until crisp tender (moving around often so as not to burn the garlic) or until done the way you enjoy.
  • Spritz with fresh lemon, plate and enjoy!

Notes

Add in a little fresh ginger or ginger paste for additional flavor.
For a more Asian forward flavor, use sesame oil and top with white or black sesame seeds.
