2cupsfresh blackberriesa pint of blackberries is typically 1.5 to 2 cups
1 cupsugarwhite sugar or sugar in the raw
Blackberry Cocktail
Ice
1cupVodka
1cuplemonade (homemade or store bought)
club soda
Blackberries for garnish
Rosemary and or lemon wedge for garnish
Instructions
Make the blackberry simple syrup by combining the berries, water and sugar in a medium sized pot.
Bring to a simmer, lower heat and continue to simmer for 4 minutes. Allow to sit and completely cool.
Strain the mixture to get all of these seeds out, place in a mason jar and keep in your fridge until ready to use.
When ready to make the cocktails. Fill tall glasses or large tumblers with ¾ the way with ice.
Add 2-3 oz of vodka per glass, ¼ cup or more of lemonade and 2-3 TBS blackberry simple syrup and stir.
Top with club soda or seltzer.
Garnish with blackberries and or a fresh sprig of Rosemary and enjoy!
Notes
Choose to make homemade lemonade, use store bought or something sugar free like Crystal Light.Experiment with how much vodka you add.You can also omit the lemonade and just make a blackberry vodka cooler by adding just blackberry simple syrup, vodka and topping with club for less sugar/carbs.
