Apple Cider Martini

As soon as the temperature dips, it's time for all the amazing fall recipes! Fall recipes are my favorite recipes and fall drinks deserve their pedestal as well, like this easy and scrumptious Apple Cider Martini recipe.

Apple Cider Martini recipe, shown apple cider martini in two vintage coupe glasses rimmed with caramel and sugar on a wood cutting board with cinnamon sticks, an apple and pine cone scattered.

Sure a Classic Martini is made with all booze, however since then their are so many variations. From Espresso Martini's to A Pumpkin Martini and everything in between.

This simple Apple Cider Martini is fabulous for fall gatherings, makes a great Thanksgiving cocktail and is even perfect around a fire too.

All you need to make it are a handful of ingredients and you'll be happily sipping away! If you enjoy apple cocktails, try my Apple Pie Moonshine Recipe (it's popular for a reason, lol) or Applejack Mule Recipe.

Ingredients

Variations

  • Make this a Caramel Apple Martini by using caramel vodka, yum!
  • If you are not a fan of cinnamon, leave the cinnamon syrup out.
  • Make this stronger by adding some Lairds Applejack to it as well or for a kick some Fireball.

Garnish Ideas

  • Rim glasses in caramel first and then sugar in the raw or other coarse sugar.
  • Rim glasses in a little maple syrup vs the caramel followed by the sugar.
  • Float a dried apple in the glass or apple slice (however, that can make it difficult to sip if its a large slice).

The easy, homemade Cinnamon Syrup (below) really gives this Apple Cider Martini something special as far as flavor goes in my opinion.

Tips

  • Get a little fancy and rim your glasses with some caramel then gently dab or roll your glasses onto a small plate of sugar in the raw or coarse sugar (as shown below). Those individual Marzetti caramel packs (I think they come in packs of 6) are perfect for this! Find them in your produce section.
  • The better your cider, the better your vodka, the better your martini will be!
  • Use fresh lemon, it really does make a difference.
  • Don't be shy with the vodka, since that is the only alcohol used.
  • Shake shake shake it in a martini shaker with ice and then strain into your prepared glasses.

Make Ahead

  • You can totally make a big pitcher of this ahead of time, and pour into a shaker, as needed, so its served ice old.
  • You can rim your glasses ahead of time as well, they hold up great as long as your caramel is on the thicker side. A little caramel goes a long way.
