Easy Key Lime Pie Dip

School is back in session and the struggle is real when it comes to lunch box ideas that make me feel good andย make the kids happy as well as satisfied. I always include a treat. This Easy Key Lime Pie Dip is both a lunch box and after school snack favorite.

Who doesn't love a slice of Key Lime Pie? I know my family does. It's easy to make, super refreshing and pretty too!

When you want that refreshing Key Lime Pie taste on just any old day, without actually making one, this Easy Key Lime Pie Dip is the way to go. No baking necessary. It's a great fruit dip recipe.

I actually won a trip to the Florida Keys in a big cooking competition in Philadelphia. One of the two recipes that won me that trip was my Key Lime Pie (click here for the recipe).

Slice of Key Lime Pie dusted with lime zest

This is a great fruit dip recipe for toddlers and tweens.

Ingredients

  • cream cheeseย
  • key lime juice or Nellie & Joe's Key Lime Juice
  • powdered sugar
  • Greek vanilla yogurt
  • Graham crackers, strawberries, fruit

Variations

  • Some use sweetened condensed milk in this dip, I don't see a need for that personally. It's a lot of calories however if that is not a concern OR if you need to get more calories into your kids, leave out the yogurt and use that instead.
  • You can top this dessert dip recipe with crushed graham crackers and serve with just fruit instead of graham crackers.

Tip

I have made this lighter and lean healthy using Cabot Greek Vanilla Yogurt and Cream Cheese instead of using sweetened condensed milk. It a nice creamy flavorful dip that pairs perfectly with strawberries and graham crackers.

Another dip idea to use with fruit or graham crackers is this Chocolate Fruit Dip a friend of mine makes. It's easy and satisfies a sweet craving.

This keeps well in a container for a day or two.

  1. My teen loves salads for lunch and I usually put little blocks of cheese and summer sausage into a container for him to add to it.
