    • Simple Syrup

    For Watermelon Vodka Cooler

    • Ice
    • Watermelon chunks
    • Vodka
    • Dekuyper Watermelon Pucker
    • A small squeeze of fresh lemon or lime
    • Club soda or sparkling water

    Equipment

    • Mixing bowl
    • Plastic wrap or aluminum foil
    • Cocktail glass

    Instructions

    For Watermelon Chunks

    1. Cut the fresh watermelon into cubes and place into a bowl.
    2. Top watermelon with 75% vodka and 25% Simple Syrup until all watermelon pieces are immersed.

    1. Fill a tall glass half with ice (I use a 13 oz glass for this).

    4. Add in 2 oz of the Watermelon Pucker, followed by a quick squeeze of lemon or lime (just a spritz).

    Storage

The flavored watermelon chunks can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.  Though once you make the cocktail it is best enjoyed right away.

Simple syrup can also be stored in the fridge for up to one week.

    Tips For Vodka Watermelon Cocktail

    • Make sure that all the watermelon chunks are completely covered  by the vodka and simple syrup mixture.  This will help to ensure that your vodka stays nice and flavorful.
    • If you want a sweeter drink, add in an extra ounce or two of the simple syrup.  For a tart cocktail, add in an extra squeeze of lemon or lime.
    • If you want a stronger drink, add in more vodka.  However, if you want it weaker, add in more club soda or sparkling water.
    • Serve chilled over ice with a straw and a fresh sprig of mint.

    • Repeat!

    Notes

Depending on how much watermelon you cut up and if you use it all on the same day, add some of the reserve liquid from that into your drink as well...So good! You may need a bigger glass! Enjoy!
To make simple syrup combine equal parts sugar and water, heat just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cool completely. Store in the refrigerator in a sealed jar for up to 2 weeks.
Watermelon Pucker is not in the nutritional calculator I use. Looks like its 70 calories per TBS.  If you can not find it, use watermelon syrup. Add as much or as little of both the watermelon flavoring and the vodka as you enjoy.
    As always, drink responsibly.
