Blackberry Lemonade Vodka Cooler recipe

Anyone who knows me knows just how much I love a good cocktail. With beautiful weather just ahead, I will be hosting many evenings of friends and family for delicious grilled foods and fun cocktails like this Blackberry Lemonade Vodka Cooler! I can’t wait!

If you enjoy blackberry vodka cocktails, try this. I recommend making the blackberry simple syrup however if you don't have time. Use Blackberry Vodka and plain simple syrup.

Blackberry is one of my very favorite ingredients in both desserts and cocktails. I love the flavor it lends as well as the beautiful color it imparts.

Why you'll love this blackberry cocktail

  • This simple Blackberry Lemonade Vodka Cooler is a cinch to make.  All you need are a few ingredients you will be sipping your way to a relaxing evening with someone you love or friends!
  • It's super refreshing.
  • You can control the calories & carbs by adding more or less blackberry simple syrup.

Tip

  • Strain your simple syrup after it cools to remove them seeds.

For these Blackberry Lemonade Vodka Coolers all you need is some good quality vodka, blackberry simple syrup (see notes) freshly made lemonade, a handful of blackberries and ice. That’s it!

Variations

  • You can also make a mocktail for adults of for kids by simply omitting the vodka.  The kiddos will love a Blackberry Lemonade Fizz! Trust me! It’s the simple things that get them all excited!
  • Make this less calories by omitting the lemonade and making a Blackberry Vodka Cooler (blackberry simple syrup, vodka, club/seltzer).
  • If you find blackberry ginger ale or blackberry seltzer/club soda use that for even more flavor.
  • Homemade lemonade makes this really tasty!
  • Make a pitcher of the base of this ahead of time (vodka, simple syrup and lemonade). When it comes time to serve simply pour ½ of the glass full over ice and top with club/seltzer.
  • Swap Blackberries for blueberries, raspberries or strawberries when making the simple syrup for a different flavor combination.

Add in a sprig of rosemary to each glass. The gorgeous fresh scent it adds as you lean in for a sip really makes the drink seem like something special. Plus I hear-tell that fresh Rosemary keeps the mosquitoes away so what’s not to love!!

Oh wow, this sounds incredible. I didn't even know Gingerale came in another flavor. I can't wait to try your recipe.

  4. I love berry drinks and this sounds so refreshing. It is the perfect drink for summers by the beach or pool.

  5. This looks like a potent drink. I would prepare this but I couldn't drink it. My tolerance is so low for alcohol already.

    1. I muddled some of the blackberries and strained the juice into the glass for a little color boost in addition to the blackberry ginger ale. if you can't find blackberry Canada Dry, make blackberry simple syrup by combining equal parts sugar and water as well as a syrup of blackberries, boil until berries release their color and are mushy (6-7 minutes). Muddle with a muddler or potato masher and allow the berries to sit until syrup is cool. Strain and use with club or seltzer.

  6. omit the canda dry and the extra sugar. muddle Blackberries or mixed berries and a much fresher tasting, healthier drink.
